I for one think the video is pretty decent myself...
yoursongs: I'm not really sure if I agree with you in that everyone has gotten a chance to hear TOC...yeah they released WCN, BW, LU, ITNOY and now AGH but I don't think most people have gotten a chance to hear TOC...I really want people to because this is the track that would get the album to sell.

But some of the elements you describe, as well as cutting out the dropped note when he sings "...from me to you" in AGH, it seems that they just hack out the best parts of the song or vocal with little care to how it all flows. Again, maybe it's just us. Who knows. But we agree on these things, so I assume they just figure no one else (outside the diehards) will know the difference so they just hack away.

Let's take a look at the Top 10 and the number of Weeks On Chart that these songs have logged... so far!
11, 25, 39, 26, 22, 46, 13, 44, 39 and 20! These are WEEKS!! Can you say... SLOW MOVING/SLOW CHANGING CHART??!! These songs get picked up and then the radio programmers hold on to these for dear life and never let go! Will AGH be able to break through to the Top 10.... well... all I will say - again - is that stranger things have happened.... and leave it at that.
But with AGH, last week it climbed to #19 and will most likely gain additional ground this week. So it will be a Top 15 at least charting song in this radio format. That is good news.
But when you look at the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, WCN is still nowhere to be found. All that Elton has on that chart is GH 1970-2002, which logged its 116th week on the chart after peaking at #12 and certified 6X Platinum. It is at #162 and it is a 14 year old release with no promotion except of course all the songs on it get played all day long everywhere! ( ;
But, to the point that has been made previously, what does AGH's success on AC Chart mean for CD sales? So far, nothing is showing. The coming weeks will show whether or not this single choice motivated CD buyers into taking the jump and buying the entire album. The single was safe and a fair bet that "maybe" AC would pick it up based on the familiarity of an Elton ballad. I know this is a broken record, but a "riskier" choice like Open Chord, IMO, possibly would have resulted in the same AC programmer notice, but would have "inspired" a more aggressive consumer action to buy the album. We may never know....
